Logotype design, and visual identity system for tSUBO.
Digital Media, Design & Creative Direction
Tsubo means pressure point in Japanese. Activation of the Tsubo promotes the release and circulation of positive energy.
A Tsubo is also a Japanese measurement equaling 3.3 square meters. The origin of the Tsubo niwa lies in 15th century courtyard gardens that proliferated when Japan’s economy was thriving. Many merchants had large house with several storage buildings around it. The very first Tsubo courtyard gardens were made in the open spaces between the house and the storage buildings . . . and the typical size was 3.3 sqm.
The design principles of the Tsubo is very suited for creating small, contemporary spaces on roofs or terraces.

Interaction & Installation Design.
The Bank of England Museum tells the story of the Bank from its foundation in 1694 to its role today as the United Kingdom’s central bank.
This installation and accompanying interactive cdrom was commissioned by the museum’s curator to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the bank’s achitect, Sir John Soane. I provided consultancy with regard to the installation, selecting appropriate hardware and overseeing design and integration with the existing environment, in addition to all aspects of the multi-media design and development. Following the successful implementation of this project we were commissioned to produce a number of other interactive installations (see here).
